Suriname continues to prepare for First Oil in 2028, and the private sector is not sitting on the sidelines.
The Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KKF) favors only one path to sustainable success: thorough preparation and strategic collaboration across business sectors.
“We are very aware of what lies ahead,” KKF spokesman Gino Naarden says, “As an organization, we realized early on that we need to wake our people up because this is now a matter of national interest.”
According to him, while the offshore oil discoveries might be smaller than those in neighboring Guyana and Brazil, their impact on the local economy will be game-changing. Click here to read more.
