Jill Sumter is the first woman from Suriname to earn a Master of Laws degree with a specialization in Oil, Gas, and Renewable Energy. A mother of one, she serves as the vice president of the Suriname Foreign Policy Community and chairs a neighborhood association in Pontbuiten.
