Guyana’s offshore oil production began in 2026 on a strong footing, with output in February reaching a record 918,000 barrels per day (bpd), already exceeding the government’s expectations for average production this year. Data published by the government show that the four ExxonMobil-operated developments in the Stabroek Block produced a total of 25,698 million barrels of crude in February, marking the highest monthly output recorded since Guyana began producing oil in December 2019.
