Students of Paramakatoi Secondary School outshone all competitors in the 2025 Guyana- Monaco Mousetrap Car Grand Prix Competition that promotes learning and fun for secondary school students.

The competition is a collaboration among SBM Offshore Guyana, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Culture, Youth, and Sport. It entails using the Laws of Physics to create a race car propelled by the trigger mechanism on a mousetrap. The objective is to encourage interest in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
